For this milestone 40th episode, I’m sitting down with two very special guests—my future in-laws, Tony and Michele, the incredible parents of my fiancée, Emma. And what makes this episode even more unique? We recorded it in Cygnet, Tasmania, aboard their catamaran, surrounded by the life they’ve built together.

Tony and Michele’s love story is one of fate, adventure, and finding connection in unexpected moments. Both born in Tasmania, their paths took them across the world—Tony sailing across Australia after his time in the Navy, and Michele travelling through Europe before feeling the pull to return home. Somehow, in the middle of it all, they kept crossing paths in Mackay, Queensland—at a newsagency, a grocery store, and even a disco—before finally speaking and realising their connection was meant to be.

They share how their relationship blossomed through adventure, how they’ve navigated life as two very different personalities, and how they built a love that has lasted through marriage, parenthood, and the ever-changing seasons of life. This is a heartfelt, beautiful conversation about love, fate, and the journey of a lifetime.
